Steelers linebacker James Harrison will discuss his recent comments he made in Men\’s Journal magazine about NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, fellow teammates and other current and former players on SportsCenter this evening.
Jason Romano, the Senior Talent Producer for ESPN, reported via Twitter a short time ago that he had confirmed a live interview with Harrison for 6:05 eastern time this evening on World Wide Leader in Sports.
Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reported this morning that Harrison’s agent, Bill Parise, tried to downplay the severity of the comments this morning when he was contacted and added that people should be careful not to read the article and think those statements are anything more than expressions of Harrison\’s feelings. It should be noted that Parise also denied the papers request to talk to Harrison.
Harrison has a good rapport with ESPN evidently has he was interviewed by Mike Hill back in May after the owners approved the new rules that they deem to better protect offensive players. If you miss the interview, I will have a full recap here immediately after it airs.
UPDATED: 2:30 – Romano is now reporting via Twitter that Harrison has cancelled the interview for tonight.
