The Jacksonville Jaguars released their first injury report of the week ahead of their Week Eight matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Jaguars’ only DNP was WR Zay Jones, who has missed three games and left one early with the injury. Jones had 82 receptions for 823 yards last season, and he’s one of Jacksonville’s key receivers.
CB Tyson Campbell was limited with a hamstring injury, as was S Andre Cisco. QB Trevor Lawrence has been dealing with a knee injury over the past two weeks, but he was able to go in Week Seven against the New Orleans Saints. While he was limited in practice today, he’s expected to be fine to play on Sunday. OL Walker Little (knee) and OL Brandon Scherff (ankle) were also both limited. Scherff is one of the top guards in the NFL, but like Lawrence, he is expected to be able to play on Sunday.
Both CB Gregory Junior (hamstring) and DT DaVon Hamilton were full participants for Jacksonville.
The Jaguars will look to win their fifth straight game on Sunday in Pittsburgh, while the Steelers will look to make it and three in a row as they return to Acrisure Stadium after a trip out West to play the Los Angeles Rams.
The Steelers aren’t dealing with any notable injuries, as both LB Cole Holcomb and RB Anthony McFarland Jr. practiced in full today. CB Levi Wallace did not practice with a foot injury, and he’s the biggest name who did not practice due to rest/illness. McFarland is still currently on injured reserve, but his 21-day window has been opened and it’s a safe bet to assume he will be activated ahead of the game on Sunday.
