The Pittsburgh Steelers have now released what should be their final injury report of Week 11 ahead of the team’s Thursday night road game against the Cleveland Browns and the Wednesday injury report shows three players officially ruled out for that contest with two others listed as questionable.
After failing to practice during the short the Steelers listed wide receiver Ryan Switzer (back), fullback Roosevelt Nix (knee) and running back Benny Snell Jr. (knee) as out for the Thursday night game against the Browns.
With Switzer now ruled out, it will be interesting to see who returns kickoffs and punts for Steelers Thursday night. Rookie wide receiver Diontae Johnson might be the top candidate to handle both duties Thursday night. That said, a few other players such as wide receiver Johnny Holton, running back Tony Brooks-James and cornerback Cameron Sutton might be options to handle some return duties as well.
Ending the week listed as questionable on the Steelers Wednesday report are outside linebacker Anthony Chickillo (rib) and cornerback Joe Haden (illness). Chickillo was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday while Haden, a new addition to the injury report, missed practice with an illness. Hopefully both players will be good to go Thursday night and especially Haden.
Practicing fully on Wednesday for the Steelers were center Maurkice Pouncey (not injury related), guard Ramon Foster (concussion), outside linebacker Olasunkanmi Adeniyi (hip) and running back James Conner (shoulder) and none of the four players were given game status designations to close out the short week. That means all four should be good to go Thursday night against the Browns.
Conner and Foster look to return to action Thursday night after missing the team’s last two games.
