The Seattle Seahawks will play the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday at Heinz Field and their Thursday injury report that was released earlier in the evening shows quite a few interesting things.
Not practicing on Thursday for the Seahawks were center Joey Hunt (ankle), defensive tackle Poona Ford (calf), safety Tedric Thompson (hamstring) and cornerback Neiko Thorpe (hamstring) Those four players also failed to practice on Wednesday. Ford and Thompson are starters while Thorpe is the Seahawks special tams captain.
Limited in Thursday’s practice for the Seahawks were wide receiver David Moore (shoulder), wide receiver Tyler Lockett (back)and defensive end Quinton Jefferson (hip). Henderson, who had two sacks for the Seahawks in their Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals, was added to the team’s injury report on Thursday and that’s quite an interesting development. Lockett being limited on Thursday is an upgrade over Wednesday as he was previously listed as not practicing.
Practicing fully on Thursday for the Seahawks were tackle Duane Brown (knee), tackle George Fant (ankle), tight end Will Dissly (knee), center Justin Britt (knee), guard Mike Iupati (foot), defensive end L.J. Collier (ankle), defensive end Ziggy Ansah (shoulder), safety Ugo Amadi (shoulder), and defensive Jadeveon Clowney (not injury related).
Collier and Ansah were both inactive for the Seahawks last weekend so it will be interesting to see if both are ultimately cleared to play Sunday against the Steelers.
