Happy Friday to yinz!
Tonight is the Pittsburgh Steelers annual Friday Night Lights practice at Latrobe Memorial Stadium and even though it looks like rain is in the forecast, the event is still expected to take place. As usual, our very own Alex Kozora and Tim Rice will be on hand for the night practice so make sure you follow along with the live tweets from both in our live blog post.
A week from tonight the Steelers will play their first preseason game of 2019 and that contest will include them hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We look forward to previewing and reviewing that game for you.
As usual, I have five questions for yinz to answer on this Friday night and hopefully several can partake in this weekly exercise.
Have a great Friday night and rest of the weekend and thank you to all of you for visiting the site this past week.
Peace and love, peace and love!
Go Steelers!

Recap of 2019 Training Camp Underway Friday Night Questions
Question 1: 81% of Steelers Depot Friday Night respondents believe Kevin Colbert will be with the organization past the 2020 NFL draft.
Question 2: Respondents favored Sutton Smith by 54.5% as the late-round draft pick Steelers Depot they are most looking forward to playing during the preseason. Isaiah Buggs was next at 36.4% and Ulysses Gilbert III last with just 9.1% of the vote. Interest followed each player’s position in the draft.
Question 3: 50% of respondents are fine with Eli Rogers entrance to training camp. The other half were not or just didn’t care. For most, it is a distant memory.
Question 4: We named 13 different players who would be the Steelers training camp phenom this year. WR Diontae Johnson & RB Benny Snell were named most frequently. LB’s Devin Bush & Sutton Smith plus S P.J. Locke & WR Donte Moncrief were mentioned multiple times. Others include CB Justin Layne, WR Diontae Spencer, S Dravon Askew-Henry, DE Isaiah Buggs, C J.C. Hassenauer, and DB Kameron Kelly. One person had CB Alexander Myres listed who unfortunately was waived with a non-football illness designation before he had a chance to show us what he had. If you read Alex Kozora’s camp diary he has likely mentioned all these players at least once.
Question 5: An overwhelming 81% of respondents believe that Alex Kozora’s stat on 18/19 Super Bowl winners finishing regular season with at least 25 turnovers. Kozora is proving to be a bellwether for Pittsburgh sports writers. Suddenly, they are following his lead.
