The Pittsburgh Steelers waived a few more players on Friday and included in the list are long snapper Kameron Canaday and wide receiver Dez Stewart, who is listed as being injured.
The waiving of Canaday on Friday is not surprising at all being as the Steelers drafted former Louisville long snapper Colin Holba in the sixth-round last weekend. Holba will now compete against veteran long snapper Greg Warren during the remainder of the offseason and into training camp.
Canaday, a former undrafted free agent out of Portland State, snapped some last season with the Arizona Cardinals. The Steelers signed him to their offseason roster this past February.
As for the Steelers waiving Stewart, he was apparently injured and really had not shot at make the roster this year. Stewart, who the Steelers signed to a futures contract this past January, played his college football at Ohio Dominican University.
