Some Friday morning housekeeping for ya. Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert are in attendance at Michigan’s Pro Day per the NFL Network’s Andrew Groover.
The biggest name in attendance is safety Jabrill Peppers, who played linebacker for a good chunk of his college career but best fit on defense comes at safety at the next level. He’s also a dynamic runner/returner and personally, I’d project him best as a scat back on offense.
Other players working out today include edge rusher Taco Charlton, DE Chris Wormley, RB De’Veon Smith, and ILB Ben Gedeon. Wormley is one of the better five tech players in this year’s draft, recording 9 TFL and 6 sacks in his senior season. Below are our scouting reports on Peppers, Smith, and Wormley and Jourdan Lewis.
The Steelers reportedly met last night with both Charlton and Wormley.
If you care about such history, the last Michigan player Pittsburgh drafted was LaMarr Woodley in 2007 and before him, Larry Foote in 2002.
