Happy Friday to all of you once again and welcome to the second weekend of the offseason.
Luckily, we’ve had a few things to talk about over the course of the last 24 hours thanks to Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert addressing the media on Thursday before he heads out of town for the scouting combine.
Remember, two weeks from now we’ll have the combine to keep us entertained and that will be followed closely by the start of the new league year in March. I really look forward to this time of year and I’m sure several of you reading this post feel the same way.
We’ve already finished up nearly 30 player profiles for you and many, many more on the way in addition to several breakdowns of the futures players the Steelers have signed. In short, we plan on keeping you entertained the best we know how throughout the offseason.
Well, little Finley Pearl made it an entire week without any potty accidents. However, hat streak unfortunately came to an end last night as she went right near the back door. She also learned to sit and shake this past week so I suppose I should focus on those positives instead of the negatives. She also now weighs 10 pounds. When we brought her home, she weighed 4.4 pounds. Needless to say, she doesn’t miss a meal.
I hope all of you have a great weekend and if you live in Pittsburgh, be careful if you go to the South side.
Below are this week’s five questions for to answer and remember that we are keeping score.
1 – What’s the most likely outcome when it comes to the Steelers unrestricted free agents quarterback Landry Jones and linebacker Lawrence Timmons?
A – Both re-signed
B – Only Jones re-signed
C – Only Timmons re-signed
2 – Will the Steelers first round pick this year once again be a player who played for a Power Five Conference team? If you answered, yes, name the most likely conference of that player.
3 – Now that you’ve heard what Colbert had to say about the future of the quarterback position in Pittsburgh, do you think the team will address the position during the first four rounds of the 2017 NFL Draft?
4 – Assuming the New York Jets ultimately release cornerback Darrelle Revis ahead of the new league and he avoids a possible suspension related to the incident that occurred Thursday night in Pittsburgh, should the Steelers consider signing him again? If you answered yes, how much is he worth a season right now?
5 – Guess the exact date that Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown will get his new contract extension.
Bonus – What team will tackle Kelvin Beachum most likely land with once he becomes a free agent on March 9?
