Despite them entering Week 13 with a 6-5 record and in second-place in the AFC North division, the Pittsburgh Steelers still have the fifth-best odds of winning the Super Bowl this season.
According to Bovada, the Steelers enter their Week 13 home game against the New York Giants with 12/1 odds to win Super Bowl LI in Houston. As far as other AFC teams go, only the New England Patriots (12/5) and Oakland Raiders (10/1) have better odds than the Steelers currently do.
When it comes to the Baltimore Ravens, who currently lead the AFC North with a 6-5 record, their odds of winning the Super Bowl are currently 40/1. The Ravens, by the way, still have to play the Miami Dolphins, Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles prior to their Week 16 rematch against the Steelers that will take place on Christmas day. Combined, those three upcoming Baltimore opponents currently have a 21-12 record.
After playing the Giants on Sunday, the Steelers will have games against the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals prior to their game against the Ravens. Those next three Pittsburgh opponents currently have a combined record of 17-15-1.
According to FiveThirtyEight, the Steelers have just a 3% chance of winning the Super Bowl this year ahead of the Week 13 games. The Steelers current chances of making the playoffs this year (67%), figure to increase slightly if they can beat the Giants on Sunday.
