The Pittsburgh Steelers had a convincing win Sunday night at Heinz Field as they beat the Kansas City Chiefs 43-14. The team, however, suffered several injuries during the game and head coach Mike Tomlin recapped them during his post game press conference.
“Darrius Heyward-Bey has a shoulder that’s being evaluated,” started Tomlin. “Marcus Gilbert has a mid-foot injury that’s being evaluated. Anthony Chickillo has a left knee injury that’s being evaluated. Ryan Harris has a hematoma on his leg that’s being evaluated. Jarvis Jones has a left ankle of some description. So we’ll access these and others and start the process as we move forward tomorrow preparing for our next one”
Marcus Gilbert had to leave the game in the first half after having his left foot and ankle trapped underneath a pile of players.
The Steelers entered the Sunday game with a long list of injuries as Ramon Foster, Cody Wallace, Ryan Shazier, Eli Rogers, Roosevelt Nix, Robert Golden, and Senquez Golson all were inactive.
