The Pittsburgh Steelers are continuing to add players to their offseason roster via Reserve/Futures contracts and on Friday they added a wide receiver.
Levi Norwood, who played his college football at Baylor, has announced on Twitter that he has signed with the Steelers after working out for them a few weeks ago.
Norwood entered the league last year with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent. In three preseason games with the Bears, he caught just one pass for 5 yards. He was waived by the Bears prior to the start of the regular season.
At his 2015 Pro Day, Norwood reportedly measured in at 6004, 197-pounds. At Baylor, he averaged 20.2 yards per kickoff return and 8.7 yards per punt return. As a receiver, Norwood caught 128 passes for 1,626 yards and 10 touchdowns during his college career.
Norwood is the son of former Penn State and Baylor assistant coach Brian Norwood and the brother of Denver Broncos wide receiver Jordan Norwood.
