The Denver Broncos just beat the Carolina Panthers 24-10 in Super Bowl 50 and already the odds for Super Bowl LI have been updated. Despite their loss Sunday to the Broncos, the Panthers are the early favorites to win it all in Houston in 2017. The Broncos, on the other hand, are 14/1 to repeat next season.
As far as the Pittsburgh Steelers go, they enter the offseason as 12/1 odds to win their seventh Lombardi Trophy next February. As far as other AFC teams go, the Steelers are behind only the New England Patriots, who are listed at 33/4.
The Steelers should have most of their offense back in 2016, so barring injuries and suspensions, they should be able to compete for the AFC North division once again. They will, however, need to get better on the defensive side of the football over the course of the offseason and one would think that they will address those needs during the draft.
Super Bowl LI is scheduled to be played February 5, 2017[at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
