The Pittsburgh Steelers are a fairly healthy team as they prepare to play the Denver Broncos Sunday at Heinz Field as they only have four players listed on their Wednesday injury report who are dealing with ailments.
Not practicing Wednesday because of minor injuries were linebacker Bud Dupree (back), tight end Heath Miller (rib), safety Mike Mitchell (shoulder) and tight end Matt Spaeth (knee). Miller and Spaeth are expected to fine come Sunday as head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that both came out of Sunday’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals just fine.
Mitchell and Dupree, however, will be closely monitored throughout the rest of the week. Dupree only played 11 snaps Sunday before leaving that game with his injury. Mitchell, on the other hand, only missed a few snaps on Sunday until he was removed from the game permanently late in the fourth quarter when the game was in hand.
Cornerback William Gay (not injury related) and linebacker James Harrison (not injury related) were both given veteran days off on Wednesday.
