It’s still yet to be seen whether or not Pittsburgh Steelers veteran tight end Heath Miller (rib) will be able to play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, but judging by the team’s Thursday injury report, he was able to practice earlier in the day on a limited basis.
Miller, who sat out Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts with a rib injury, failed to practice Wednesday, so now that he’s moving in the right direction, Friday will be a key day for him in determining his playing status for Sunday.
Also limited on Thursday after sitting out the Wednesday session was fellow tight end Matt Spaeth (knee), who is battling some knee soreness. Spaeth is expected to play against the Bengals barring any kind of setback between now and kickoff.
Practicing fully on Thursday were wide receiver Sammie Coates (illness), cornerback William Gay (concussion, not injury related), linebacker James Harrison (not injury related), long snapper Greg Warren (not injury related), and linebacker Sean Spence (hamstring). It’s good to see Spence moving in the right direction as he missed the Sunday night game with a hamstring injury.
