The New York Jets notched their ninth win of the 2015 season Saturday night with a 19-16 road win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Jets kicker Randy Bullock kicked a 40-yard field goal with 36 seconds left in regulation to cap off an 8 play, 58 yard drive that was highlighted by quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick connecting with wide receiver Kenbrell Tompkins for 43 yards with 1:02 left in the game. Fitzpatrick ended the game with 299 yards passing with 1 touchdown and 1 interception.
The Cowboys certainly helped the Jets cause Saturday night by turning the football over four times in the game. One of those 4 interceptions came in the red zone with 5:25 as Jets safety Calvin Pryor picked off quarterback Kellen Moore in the end zone. Moore, who took over for an ineffective Matt Cassel in the first quarter, threw for 158 yards in the loss.
Even though the Jets won Saturday night, the Pittsburgh Steelers can still overtake them for the No. 6 seed in the AFC with a win Sunday over the Denver Broncos thanks to the common games tiebreaker. Should the Steelers lose to the Broncos on Sunday, however, they would remain the No. 7 seed in the AFC.
The Jets will host the New England Patriots in Week 16
