The Pittsburgh Steelers 2015 schedule has now been released and now we know that their reported request to have their two road west coast games in Seattle and San Diego on back-to-back weeks has been denied.
Nearly a month ago, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that the Steelers asked the NFL to schedule their west coast games against the Seattle Seahawks and San Diego Chargers on back-to-back weeks to alleviate travel issues. It is believed that the team would’ve stayed on the west coast between games had their request been approved.
The game against the Chargers is scheduled for October 12, which is a Monday night and that means the team will not arrive back in Pittsburgh until late in the morning the following day. That will make the next week incredibly short for the Steelers as they prepare to host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6.
The Steelers road game against the Seahawks will take place on Sunday November 29. Luckily that game will take place following their bye week.
