Now that Pittsburgh Steelers unrestricted free agent wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has finished his tour of Florida, it appears as though he will be headed northwest to visit with the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
Sanders visited with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday.
In addition to visiting with the Chiefs on Friday, Mehta reports that the New York Jets have had numerous conversations with Sanders, who was originally scheduled to visit them on Friday until a conflict forced a change of plans. Mehta goes on to say the Jets are “still very much interested” in the former third-round draft pick.
At this point, you have to wonder if Sanders has a few standing deals in his back pocket because of all the interest in him. The Jets have already signed former Denver Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker, but should still have plenty of cap room to work with.
