The Conference Championship games are now set as the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos both advanced on Sunday with wins.
Peyton Manning and the Broncos will host the Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game next weekend as they beat the San Diego Chargers 24-17 in the late game. Manning completed 25 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns in the win and the Broncos rushed for 133 yards as a team.
Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers, who only had 20 yards passing at halftime, finished the game with 217 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. Rookie wide receiver Keenan Allen led all receivers in the game with 142 yards receiving and two touchdowns on six catches as the Chargers late rally came up short.
In the NFC Championship game, the Seattle Seahawks will host the 49ers, who took care of the Carolina Panthers 23-10 on Sunday. 49ers running back Frank Gore rushed for 84 yards on 17 carries in the win and quarterback Colin Kaepernick added 196 yards passing and one touchdown pass to tight end Vernon Davis.
49ers wide receiver Anquin Boldin led all receivers in the game with eight catches for 136 yards and kicker Phil Dawson chipped in with three field goals.
The Broncos open up as 6.5 point favorites over the Patriots while the Seahawks are favored by 3.5 points over the visiting 49ers.
