The Pittsburgh Steelers won’t have the services of defensive end Brett Keisel on Sunday for their home game against the Miami Dolphins, but they will get back an important member of the defensive line.
Nose tackle Steve McLendon, who sat out the Thanksgiving night game against the Baltimore Ravens with a left ankle injury suffered back in Week 12 against the Cleveland Browns, is active and expected to play.
McLendon was listed as questionable on the Friday injury report after only being able to practice one day on a limited basis.
As far as other notable inactives, as expected, tackle Kelvin Beachum will miss the Sunday game against the Dolphins with a knee sprain suffered late in the loss to the Ravens. Beachum will be replaced in the starting lineup by Mike Adams, who will be making his first start at his old spot since being benched following the Week 4 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Tight end Matt Spaeth, who was activated from the designated to return injured reserve list on Saturday, is also active for the Dolphins game and expected to see action. Also active is linebacker LaMarr Woodley, who has missed the last three games with a calf injury. Woodley is expected to have his snap count monitored, however.
