In case you are scoring at home, Pittsburgh Steelers undrafted free agent guard Nik Embernate did indeed clear waivers and he has reverted back to the injured reserve list following him being waived injured on Saturday.
It is not yet known if Embernate, who tore both the ACL and MCL in his right knee last Thursday during one-on-one linemen drills, has had surgery yet, but if not, it will take place soon.
The San Diego State product was a high-priority free agent signing following the 2013 NFL Draft and there were hopes he would at least make the Steelers practice squad out if training camp if he didn\’t make the 53 man roster.
Embernate has a long recovery ahead of him right now and hopefully he will be able to compete next year for a roster spot.
