The Pittsburgh Steelers continued practice preparations on Thursday for their Sunday game at Heinz Field against the Washington Redskins and the practice injury report for the day is now out.
Safety Troy Polamalu (calf) and tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) have long been ruled out for Sunday and did not work Thursday as expected. Running back Rashard Mendenhall (achilles) also failed to practice on Thursday and it is looking very likely that he will miss his second consecutive game.
Running back Isaac Redman (ankle) was able to work on a limited basis after not working on Wednesday, but it is still up in the air whether or not he will be ready to go this week. Kicker Shaun Suisham (ankle) was limited for a second straight day, but he is expected to be able to go come Sunday.
Linebacker Jason Worilds (illness), and running back Jonathan Dwyer (not injury related) both worked fully after sitting out on Wednesday.
Center Maurkice Pouncey (knee) and linebacker Chris Carter (hamstring) worked fully once again and both look to be good to go this week after both sat out the Sunday night game.
Linebacker Brandon Johnson (hamstring) was not able to work on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday and his status looks very questionable heading into Friday.
Safety Will Allen (ankle) and linebacker Adrian Robinson (concussion) both worked again for a second straight day.
