Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey will be back at practice Thursday for the Steelers on a limited basis according to Scott Brown. Pouncey sat out Wednesday as he continues to recover from a stomach virus that knocked him out of the Sunday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Brown reports that Pouncey has lost 12 pounds since getting the bug and will need to try to put some of it back on over the course of the next few days. Thus far he has gained back 2 of those 12 pounds lost and told reporters today that he is currently under 290 pounds. Pouncey did say he will definitely play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Right guard Ramon Foster told reporters yesterday that Pouncey was really hurting during the game Sunday night trying to fight through the sickness and that he was smacking the back of Pouncey in-between plays as he was doubled over in attempt to help get the cold out of him.
Pouncey made it through 18 non-penalty plays before having to leave the game Sunday night and he did not return.
