Below are the offensive personnel packages, play counts and participation chart for the Steelers week 2 win against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. As I predicted in my pregame article, the Steelers used the 11 and 12 personnel packages much more this week as combined they totaled 44 plays of the 68 run. The Steelers also used 3 tight ends 14 times. There were no 0 packages this week which consist of 5 wide receivers.
Running back Isaac Redman saw 28 snaps this week and Hines Ward got quite a few plays off, even early in the game. Emmanuel Sanders and Antonio Brown were neck and neck as far as snaps. Rookie Wesyle Saunders picked up quite a few snaps this week thanks to the numerous use of 3 tight ends.
