The 2011 NFL season kicks-off tonight with the Packers hosting the Saints and it is time once again to throw out my prediction for the entire 2011 NFL standings and records. Last year I sold the Steelers short and had the Packers winning it all over the Jets and you can see that post from last year at this time here.
This year I think the AFC is once again pretty cut and dry with Patriots, Steelers, Texans and Chargers winning their respective divisions with the Jets and the Ravens both earning wild card spots. The Colts are the real mystery here depending on the status of Peyton Manning. Even with him though, I do not think it will be enough for them to take the division or even earn a wild card spot.
In the NFC I also see as pretty cut and dry as well with the Saints, Packers, Eagles and Rams winning their respective divisions with both the Falcons and Buccaneers coming out of the NFC South to grab wild card spots.
In the playoffs I have the Packers representing the NFC once again after beating the Falcons in the NFC Championship game and the Steelers finally beating the Patriots in their house in the AFC Championship game. This will set up a rematch of Super Bowl XLV with the Steelers getting revenge and capturing their 7th Lombardi Trophy.
