Ed Bouchette has a recap of the Steelers Sunday seven-play live goal-line drill. Isaac Redman, Jonathan Dwyer, Justin Vincent and Dwayne Wright each scored once in the drill. Redman was stopped once and Dwyer twice. Rashard Mendenhall was not used, although he remains in the mix for the short-yardage job.
John Harris recaps the tough start to camp that Jonathan Dwyer has had since he injured his hamstring during the second practice on the first day of his first NFL training camp. Dwyer has a lot to learn in a short time in order to make the 53 man roster.
The Steelers might of caught another week 1 break as Falcons starting wide receiver Michael Jenkins is out for four to six weeks with a shoulder injury he suffered on Friday night during the team’s intrasquad scrimmage. Jenkins would be pushing it to return by the first game and likely will be inactive for it. The Falcons will also be without 3 other players who will be serving suspensions.

Congrats once again to Coach Dad, Dick LeBeau, who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall Of Fame on Saturday. We have a full page dedicated to the video of his induction speech, transcripts and other interviews. It truly was a great speech and well deserved.
The crying continues as Super Bowl XL referee Bill Leavy acknowledged two officiating mistakes that he says may have impacted the game. Notice the keyword impacted, not lost. Referees impact every game, more some than others. You can see Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck response here.
