Aaron Rodgers Passes Brett Favre For Fourth All-Time In Touchdown Passes

Aaron Rodgers Brett Favre

With his sixth touchdown pass as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Aaron Rodgers has made NFL history.

After tying Brett Favre for fourth all-time in touchdown passes in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks, Rodgers surpassed Favre Sunday in Foxboro with a 12-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver DK Metcalf, giving the Steelers an early 14-0 lead.

Take a look at the play that moved Rodgers into fourth all-time on his own.

MOST TOUCHDOWN PASSES, NFL HISTORY

1. Tom Brady – 649
2. Drew Brees – 571
3. Peyton Manning – 539
4. Aaron Rodgers – 509
5. Brett Favre — 508

One of the best quarterbacks in NFL history continues to add to his Hall of Fame resume.

Already a four-time NFL MVP and a first-ballot lock for enshrinement in Canton, Rodgers continues to add to his impressive resume.

Surpassing Favre is extra special, since Rodgers spent three years behind Favre in Green Bay from 2005-07, learning from the Hall of Famer. Though there was some friction there at times between the two as Favre wasn’t exactly receptive to a young quarterback behind him, Rodgers learned a lot and has spoken highly of Favre’s mentorship.

Along with sitting fourth in passing touchdowns all-time, Rodgers remains No. 1 all-time in passer rating and is seventh in all-time passing yards. He’s closing in on passing Ben Roethlisberger in that mark this season, too.

So far this season Rodgers has fired touchdown passes to Ben Skowronek, Jonnu Smith, Jaylen Warren, Calvin Austin III and DK Metcalf. Last week against the Seahawks Metcalf became the 59th receiver to catch a touchdown from Rodgers.

Rodgers downplayed tying Favre last week, calling it a longevity achievement. But now, he’s No. 4 all-time on his own. Up next: Peyton Manning, who is 30 touchdowns ahead of him.

Chances are he won’t catch Manning this season, but if he returns for 2026 and his 22nd NFL season, Manning could be within striking distance.
