A Note From Alex: Go Ad-Free With Steelers Depot

Hello! A note here from Alex Kozora. Wanted to let you guys know about an aspect of our site I, frankly, don’t talk about enough. For those interested, we have an ad-free version of Steelers Depot for those who would prefer that experience. And good news, it’s only $25 per year, barely more than $2 per month. If you’d like to sign up for it, you can do so at the link here.

We’ll work to make mention of this ad-fee version of the site throughout the offseason. We wanted to stress it now because the price to go ad-free is likely to increase sometime after the draft (for those who sign up prior, the increase won’t occur until after your full year at $25). While there’s zero obligation to sign up for this version, for those who visit our site often (thank you for that!), I’m confident you’ll feel it’s worth the money. A completely clean and ad-free version of Steelers Depot so you can focus on us talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers (and sometimes, me talking about Die Hard).

With the Pittsburgh Steelers’ season ending in a similar and disappointing fashion, we’ve finally had the time to focus on the user experience of the site. We’ve certainly heard your feedback about issues you’ve encountered, ads popping up and distracting from reading the article, and we’ve worked hard with our ad companies to correct many of these issues. Most of the problems were not intentional but bugs or errors that we alerted the proper people to and were corrected. Of course, there still are ads on the site. It’s how we keep our content 100 percent free, and we’ll continue to monitor user experience throughout the coming months.

But the best thing we can offer for those who want to go completely ad-free is to sign up for that version of the site. You can pay via PayPal or Stripe to get the best experience we can offer. We understand this isn’t for everyone but we wanted to take steps to make this aspect of Steelers Depot more clear to those interested.

No matter what, Dave Bryan, myself, and our entire Steelers Depot team are committed to improving the site in big and small ways in the future. We just wrapped up sending six people to the Shrine and Senior Bowl, who all did a fantastic job providing first-hand coverage with practice reports and player interviews. We plan on sending at least two people to this year’s NFL Combine in Indianapolis and maybe even a Pro Day this cycle. Of course, we’ll continue to have wall-to-wall coverage during free agency and the NFL Draft, and before you know it, training camp will be on the horizon.

We want to thank you all for a record 2023 and a fantastic start to the new year with a record January of 2024. It’s our goal to be the most comprehensive Steelers site on the Internet and one of the oldest, founded by Dave way back in 2008 (when I was a sophomore in high school – a crazy thought). We thank you for your continued support. Again, if you’d like to go ad-free, click the link here.
