The Pittsburgh Steelers officially signed defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko to a one-year contract on Tuesday and the official numbers for that deal are now known.
Fehoko, who was not restricted tendered this offseason by the Los Angeles Chargers, signed a one-year contract that totals $940,000, according to Over the Cap. That is the minimum amount for a player with two credited seasons. None of that $940,000 is guaranteed. Fehoko’s cap charge for 2023 is set to be $940,000.
While Fehoko was only on the Chargers’ active/inactive roster for two games during his 2020 rookie season, he received an accrued season credit that year due to COVID-19 rules. He did not, however, qualify for a credited season that year.
In his NFL career to date, Fehoko has 36 total tackles with one for lost yardage in 19 games played. Twenty-three of those tackles came last season. Fehoko signed with Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2020 out of LSU.
Fehoko will reportedly wear No. 96 for the Steelers.
