Antonio Brown Tweets He Is Joining The Ravens – Doesn’t Appear To Actually Be True

In an out-of-left-field tweet sent Friday afternoon, wide receiver Antonio Brown said he is joining the Baltimore Ravens. Brown tweeted this a short time ago, tweeting he is “excited to return to the NFL this year” with the hashtag “RavensFlock,” one associated with Baltimore.

Brown’s tweet also has him photoshopped into a Ravens’ #84 uniform.

As of this writing, there doesn’t appear to be any validity to Brown’s suggestion of signing with Baltimore. The Ravens have added to their wide receiver room this offseason, signing Odell Beckham Jr. to an expensive contract while drafting Boston College’s Zay Flowers with the 22nd pick last night.

Brown has not played a down of football since 2021 when he stormed off the field in the middle of a game while a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was released by the team shortly after the outburst. Brown, 34, has been in the news for all the wrong reasons in recent months. Most of it has been related to his ownership of his National Arena Football team, the Albany Empire, and his legal battles, including a recent warrant for his arrest for failing to pay $30,000 in child support. Brown says he paid and that the warrant issued was dropped.

We’ll update this post when we get further clarification. As of right now, it appears Brown is only a Raven in his own head. It’s hard to believe Baltimore – or any NFL team – would sign him.
