The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to signed unrestricted free agent guard Isaac Seumalo as of late Saturday night and some of the details of that deal are now known as of Sunday morning.
According to Ari Meirov of MySportsUpdate on Sunday, Seumalo will be signing a three-year, $24 million contract with the Steelers.
While the length and total value are the only details known about the Seumalo deal so far, the structure should be easy to figure out based on the way the other free agent deals the Steelers have looked so far this offseason.
There’s a good bet that the Seumalo deal is an even $8 million cash split by year. If that’s the case, he likely will receive a 2023 base salary of $1.165 million and a $6.835 million signing bonus. Seumalo’s cap charges in 2023, 2024, and 2025 are likely to be set to be $3,443,333, $10,278,333 and $10,278,334, respectively.
Seumalo was a third-round selection by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Oregon State. He has started 60 NFL games over seven seasons in Philadelphia mostly as a guard. Seumalo switched to right guard for the 2022 season after previously playing left guard for most of his career.
During the 2020 and 2021 seasons, Seumalo missed significant playing time due to injuries but managed to stay healthy and play in all 17 regular-season games for the Eagles in 2022.

UPDATE: Below are the official numbers and structure for Seumalo via Aaron Wilson. Seumalo has a $1 million roster bonus due in 2025 as part of his deal. His cash flow is $8.25 million in 2023 and $16.125 million through 2024, the second year of the deal.
