First Weekend Of April: Steelers Friday Night Five Questions

Steelers Depot Friday Night Five Questions

Happy Friday and I hope yinz are doing well.

We’re chugging right along into April, don’t get fooled tomorrow, which also kicks off draft month. We’re now under a month away from the start of the 2023 NFL Draft. Pro Days have essentially wrapped up, though there will be a handful of individual workouts held over the next two weeks. We’re also fleshing out the team’s pre-draft visit list, getting close to knowing half the allotted 30. Our Depot team is also marching on with our pre-draft profiles, getting close to already 200 on the year.

Hope you all have a great weekend and that you enjoy following our continued coverage. I thank you for visiting the site and we appreciate all of your great feedback. As always, we have five Friday night questions for you to answer.

Peace and love, peace and love!

1 – Would you be excited about OLB Bud Dupree signing with the Steelers?

2 – Are you in favor of players now being allowed to wear #0?

3 – Is it more likely the Steelers draft a CB at #17 or #32?

4 – If the Steelers draft a slot receiver, will he be a “big slot” or a “classic slot,” a small/shifty wideout?

5 – Are you comfortable with TE Zach Gentry as the #2 in 2023?

Recap of Sixth 2023 Offseason Weekend Friday Night 5 Questions

Question 1: Steelers Depot respondents believe Pittsburgh is more likely to draft Iowa LB Jack Campbell than Ohio State OT Dawand Jones by a narrow 11-10 margin.

Question 2: Depot respondents say Pittsburgh will draft an Edge somewhere between the second and seventh round. The median response was the fourth round. We’ll find out at the end of April.

Question 3: Responders say they would not have been bothered if Big Ben played for the 49ers last year by a 14 to seven margin.

Question 4: We were right in the middle of a 10-point scale when rating our confidence in Calvin Austin as the Steelers’ starting slot receiver. Several folks want to see him make it through camp before giving way to optimism.

Question 5: A strong 16 to five majority stated they would not bring back 35-year-old nose tackle Al Woods for another stint with the Steelers.

Here are the consensus responses of Steelers Depot respondents compared to the correct answers:
