The 2020 NFL Scouting Combine will get underway in Indianapolis, IN next week and we now know when Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert should be holding his annual press conference at the event.
According to the 2020 scouting combine speaking schedule that was released by the NFL on Wednesday, Colbert will speak next Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. ET. While the Steelers have not yet announced their intentions, there’s probably a good chance that Colbert’s annual 15-minute scouting combine media session will be aired live on either the team’s official website, Steelers Nation Radio, or both.
Per the norm, Colbert will likely be asked on Tuesday to comment on the positional strength of this year’s draft class in addition to talking about the number of college underclassmen who declared for the draft in January. The longtime Steelers general manager will also likely be asked this year to provide a rehab update on quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, the possibility of the team placing the franchise tag on outside linebacker Bud Dupree and if the team thinks any contract extensions will get done this offseason.
As usual, you can count on a full recap of Colbert’s Tuesday talk with the media on this website as soon as his 15-minute session has concluded. We’ll also make sure to recap the interview he’s likely to have on SiriusXM NFL Radio immediately following his combine press conference.
