The New York Jets have now released their first injury report of Week 16 ahead of their Sunday afternoon home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Wednesday offering includes 18 players being listed on it.
Not practicing for the Jets on Wednesday were guard Tom Compton (calf) and wide receiver Demaryius Thomas (hamstring, knee). Should Compton be unable to play against the Steelers the Jets would likely start Conor McDermott at right guard in his place. Compton played every snap in the Jets loss last week. Thomas, on the other hand, sat out the game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Limited in practice on Wednesday for the Jets were safety Jamal Adams (ankle), defensive end Henry Anderson (shoulder), tackle Kelvin Beachum (ankles), linebacker B.J. Bello (illness), safety Bennett Jackson (illness), cornerback Arthur Maulet (calf), defensive tackle Steve McLendon (knee, hip), cornerback Brian Poole (concussion), running back Bilal Powell (ankle), and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams (neck).
Of that list of 10 players, Maulet, Powell, Adams, and Williams were all inactive for the Jets last game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Practicing fully for the Jets on Wednesday were cornerback Maurice Canady (shoulder), quarterback Sam Darnold (knee, left thumb), quarterback David Fales (right elbow), defensive end Kyle Phillips (hip), tackle Brent Qvale (knee), and defensive end Nathan Shepherd (rib, ankle).
