The New York Jets have now released their second official injury report of Week 16 ahead of their Sunday afternoon home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Thursday offering looks a little bit different from the first one released by the team on Wednesday.
Not practicing for the Jets on Thursday were guard Tom Compton (calf), wide receiver Demaryius Thomas (hamstring, knee) and wide receiver Robby Anderson (illness). That’s two days in a row that Compton and Thomas have sat out so it will be interesting to see if either play on Sunday against the Steelers. Compton is the Jets starting right guard. Anderson is a new addition to the injury report on Thursday.
Limited in practice on Thursday for the Jets were safety Jamal Adams (ankle), defensive end Henry Anderson (shoulder), tackle Kelvin Beachum (ankles), cornerback Arthur Maulet (calf), defensive tackle Steve McLendon (knee, hip), cornerback Brian Poole (concussion, ankle), running back Bilal Powell (ankle), and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams (neck).
Practicing fully for the Jets on Thursday were were linebacker B.J. Bello (illness), cornerback Maurice Canady (shoulder), safety Blake Countess (ankle), quarterback Sam Darnold (knee, left thumb), quarterback David Fales (right elbow), safety Bennett Jackson (illness), defensive end Kyle Phillips (hip), tackle Brent Qvale (knee), and defensive end Nathan Shepherd (rib, ankle).
