Steelers Sign ILB Robert Spillane Back To Practice Squad

The Pittsburgh Steelers filled their open practice squad spot on Tuesday by re-signing a player they let go from the unit not long ago.

Signed back to the Steelers practice squad on Tuesday was inside linebacker Robert Spillane.

Spillane had been on the practice squad since the start of the season but was released from it a few weeks ago so the team could sign tight end Alize Mack. Mack was then released last week to make room for quarterback Taryn Christion. Christion was needed to imitate Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson last week on the scout team.

Spillane was signed to the Steelers offseason roster back in February and he was on the team throughout training camp and the preseason.
