The Pittsburgh Steelers have now released their Friday injury report ahead of their Week 8 Monday night home game against the Miami Dolphins and the latest offering includes some a lot of good news.
Limited during Friday’s practice for the Steelers was inside linebacker Mark Barron (hamstring), who was listed on Thursday as being a full participant. Barron missed the Steelers Week 6 road game with his hamstring injury so it will be interesting to see how he closes out the week on Saturday.
Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (illness) and outside linebacker T.J. Watt (abdomen) both practiced fully on Friday and that’s great news. Watt was listed Thursday as being a limited practice participant while Smith-Schuster had missed that session due to an illness.
Also practicing fully again for the Steelers on Friday were cornerback Joe Haden (groin), cornerback Mike Hilton (calf), tight end Vance McDonald (shoulder), cornerback Steven Nelson (groin), fullback Roosevelt Nix (knee), quarterback Mason Rudolph (concussion), running back Jaylen Samuels (knee), and wide receiver James Washington (shoulder).
It will now be interesting to see how Samuels winds up being listed on the Steelers Saturday injury report. It was originally thought that he might miss a few games with the knee injury that he had suffered back in Week 5 that ultimately needed to be scoped.
