The Baltimore Ravens have now released their Thursday injury report ahead of their Week 5 Sunday road game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and their latest offering includes one new and significant player on it.
Not practicing on Thursday for the Ravens were cornerback Jimmy Smith (knee) and center Matt Skura (knee). Smith is not expected to play Sunday against the Steelers and Skura, the Ravens starting center, is a new addition to the injury report. It will now be interesting to see how Skura closes out the week on Friday as he would be a big loss Sunday for the Ravens if unable to play against the Steelers.
After sitting out the Ravens Wednesday practice, tight end Mark Andrews (foot) and defensive tackle Brandon Williams (knee) were reportedly limited on Thursday. Andrews is expected to play on Sunday against the Steelers while the jury seems to be out on if Williams will be able to return this weekend.
Practicing fully on Thursday for the Ravens after sitting out Wednesday’s session was safety Earl Thomas (not injury related) and he’ll of course play Sunday against the Steelers.
The Ravens announced on Thursday that safety Brynden Trawick (elbow) has been placed on the team’s Reserve/Injured list. Trawick was listed on the Ravens Wednesday injury report as being a limited practice participant.
