The San Francisco 49ers have now released their Thursday injury report ahead of their Sunday home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and it shows one new development from the one released on Wednesday.
Sitting out practice again on Thursday for the 49ers were running back Tevin Coleman (ankle), defensive end Dee Ford (quadricep), wide receiver Jalen Hurd (back), tackle Joe Staley (fibula), and wide receiver Trent Taylor (foot).
Staley is already out for Sunday and it’s beginning to look like Ford, Coleman, Hurd and Taylor might all wind up being inactive against the Steelers as well. Not having Ford will be a huge loss for the 49ers. As for Staley being out, a rookie will be replacing him at left tackle on Sunday.
Limited in practice on Thursday for the 49ers were defensive end Nick Bosa (ankle), safety Jimmie Ward (hand) and safety Jaquiski Tartt (toe), S Jimmie Ward (hand).
Tartt had previously been listed on the 49ers Wednesday injury report as not practicing so he’s moving in the right direction. Bosa is expected to be fine by Sunday and it will be interesting to see if Ward can return to action this weekend.
