Season 9, Episode 119 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Friday show, Alex Kozora and I immediately begin recapping the Pittsburgh Steelers third and final week of OTA practices and that discussion includes us covering quarterback Mason Rudolph and his first-team reps, the progress of rookie wide receiver Diontae Johnson and more.
Alex and go over the Steelers wide receiver depth chart early in this show and discuss the quasi professional experience several at the bottom have. We then get into a long discussion about wide receivers Eli Rogers and Ryan Switzer and the likelihood of both making this year’s 53-man roster. That discussion includes us covering some depth of target stats and more.
Can the Steelers defense hit 60 sacks in 2019? Alex laid out a path for that to happen in a recent post that we both discuss. We go over each player and position group as it relates to possible 2019 sack totals.
Will the Steelers defense be better than the one the Baltimore Ravens will field in 2019? Alex and I discuss that topic for a bit before talking some about the NFL possibly shortening the preseason and extending the regular season in the next CBA.
Former NFL running back Maurice Jones-Drew attempted to predict the Steelers 2019 record Thursday night so we go over his game-by-game thoughts and talk some about our expectations for the team this season.
Alex and I cover a few more items and then proceed to answer a few listener emails we have received recently to close out this episode.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.
