Report: Steelers Have Valdosta State CB Stephen Denmark Scheduled For Pre-Draft Visit

The Pittsburgh Steelers have already had a few cornerbacks in for pre-draft visits this month and it sounds like a least one more will be making his way to Pittsburgh by the end of the week.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, Valdosta State cornerback Stephen Denmark has a pre-draft visit scheduled with the Steelers.

Denmark, a former wide receiver turned cornerback, reportedly ran a 4.46 40 yard dash at his pro day in addition to posting a 43-inch vertical jump and a 10’10” broad jump. He reportedly measures in at 6024, 220-pounds. Denmark was reportedly a track and field athlete in college and at James S. Rickards High School.

Denmark played wide receiver his first three years of college and made the switch to defensive back going into spring ball of his senior year.

“We moved him over there from receiver last year, and we think he can be a shutdown guy, then-Valdosta State head coach Kerwin Bell said in February of 2018. “He’s got NFL potential. He’s that athletic.”
