WR Coach Darryl Drake On Hand For Arizona State’s Pro Day

While we’re still searching for where Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin traveled to on today’s Pro Day circuit, we do know where WRs coach Darryl Drake is spending his Wednesday morning. He’s attending Arizona State’s Pro Day with WR N’Keal Harry the #1 name to watch.

He was captured in this photo sent out by the school a short time ago.

As their caption notes, there are plenty of big names at the workout too: John Lynch, Kevin Mawae, and John Elway.

Harry is part of the jumbled mess of receivers seemingly behind D.K. Metcalf. Some people think Harry is the second best receiver, others have him outside the top five. Standing in at 6’2/3 228 pounds at the Combine, he ran in the low 4.5’s, jumped 38.5 inches in the vert, and 10’2″ in the broad, impressive numbers across the board.

Declaring as a junior, Harry caught 73 passes for over 1000 yards and nine touchdowns for the Herm Edwards led Sun Devils in 2018. For his career, he recorded more than 200 receptions and found the end zone 22 times. Last year, he dabbled in the punt return game, taking one back to the house against USC. He even threw a touchdown pass as a sophomore.

The Steelers are clearly still in the market for a receiver, even after signing Donte Moncrief. It feels very likely they take at least one within the top three rounds, given how deep the class is and the fact they pick four times in the first 83 selections. Harry is generally projected to be a Day Two pick.

And we’ll let you know if Colbert and/or Tomlin turned up at the Florida Pro Day. Right now, the only member of the organization I’ve spotted there is senior scout Rick Reiprish.
