Steelers C Maurkice Pouncey Voted Second-Team AP All-Pro For 2018

The Associated Press announced their annual All-Pro team for the 2018 NFL season on Friday and no players from the Pittsburgh Steelers received first-team designations. Center Maurkice Pouncey, however, was voted a second-team All-Pro for 2018. Pouncey started and played in all 16 of the Steelers regular season games in 2018.

Previously, Pouncey, the Steelers first-round draft pick in 2010, had been named a first-team All-Pro twice in 2011 and 2014 and a second-team selection in 2010 and 2012. In addition to being voted a second-team All-Pro this season, Pouncey was also voted to the Pro Bowl a seventh time a few weeks ago.

While Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown did catch 104 passes for 1,297 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2018, he failed to receive any All-Pro honors after being voted a first-team selection the last four years.

Last year, Brown, guard David DeCastro, running back Le’Veon Bell and defensive lineman Cameron Heyward were all voted first-team All-Pros. Brown was also the only unanimous All-Pro choice last year.
