C Patrick Morris (Jacob Klinger)
OG R.J. Prince (multiple reports)

The Steelers have announced their initial practice squad. Practice squad players in 2018 will earn a minimum of $7,600 per week.

RB Jarvion Franklin – Franklin, a Western Michigan product, was one of the Steelers original undrafted free agents signed this year. He rushed for 10 yards and a touchdown on 8 carries during the preseason.

WR Trey Griffey – Griffey, who was signed to a futures contract early in the offseason, caught 4 passes for 44 yards during the preseason.

WR Tevin Jones – Jones, like Griffey was signed to a futures contract early in the offseason. The Memphis product caught 4 passes for 95 yards and 2 touchdowns during the preseason.

TE Bucky Hodges – Hodges, who was signed during training camp due to the team suffering several injuries at the tight end position, caught 2 passes for 43 yards during the preseason.

OL Patrick Morris – Morris is another original undrafted rookie free agent the team signed this year. The TCU product will likely get to work on his center skills all throughout the 2018 season.

OL R.J. Prince – Prince was one of the last original undrafted free agents signed by the team this year. The North Carolina product was signed to the 90-man roster after participating in the team’s rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.

DL Lavon Hooks – Hooks played well during the preseason after spending the 2017 regular season on the Steelers practice squad. He’ll likely be the next man up should an injury on the defensive line take place this season.

OLB Farrington Huguenin – Huguenin spent the entire 2017 season on the Steelers practice squad. The former undrafted free agent out of Kentucky registered 5 total tackles and a sack during the preseason.

OLB Keion Adams – Adams was the team’s seventh-round selection in 2017 and he spent his rookie season on the Reserve/Injured list with a shoulder injury. He registered 7 total tackles during the preseason.

CB Brian Allen – Like Adams, Allen is another of the team’s 2017 draft picks that failed to make the roster this year. He’s a capable special teams player but yet to play much on defense outside of during the preseason.

TE Christian Scotland-Williamson (International Players Program – roster exemption) – The former rugby star can stick on the practice squad all season as an 11th player thanks to him being part of the international players program. He caught one pass for 5 yards during the preseason.
