The Pittsburgh Steelers agreed to terms with 13 undrafted free agents at the conclusion of the 2018 NFL Draft and now that several of these players have signed their three-year contracts, we can pass along the details of 7 of those deals courtesy of former NFL agent Joel Corry.
First, let it be known that the undrafted rookie reservation amount for 2018 is $103,856, according to Corry. That number is the maximum amount of signing bonuses teams are allowed to give to undrafted free agents in 2018 and is a fixed percentage of the total Rookie Compensation Pool for 2018.
Of the seven undrafted Steelers free agents listed below, Greg Gilmore, Patrick Morris, Quadree Henderson, Trey Johnson, Kendal Vickers, Jarvion Franklin and Chris Schleuger, Gilmore received the largest signing bonus which was $15,000. He is followed by Morris ($10,000) and Henderson ($8,000), according to Corry. Johnson and Vickers each received $7,500 signing bonuses, while Franklin and Schleuger each received $5,000 to sign.
I’ll pass along the rest of the undrafted free agent contracts as soon as the full details become available.
