As previously reported, the Pittsburgh Steelers have done away with their 1934 throwback uniforms. However, the team’s all-black Color Rush uniforms will be used once again during the 2017 season.
According to Bob Labriola of steelers.com, the Steelers will wear their Color Rush uniforms for their Thursday, Nov. 16 game against the Tennessee Titans at Heinz Field.
This isn’t a bit surprising as the Steelers only have one Thursday night game scheduled for the 2017 season and those games broadcasted on the NFL Network are the ones that usually include teams wearing their Color Rush uniforms. Designed by Nike, the Color Rush uniforms are monochromatic uniforms that are featured for the most part on Thursday Night Football.
Last season the Steelers wore their all-black Color Rush uniforms during their Christmas day home game against the Baltimore Ravens.
