We already know where Pittsburgh Steelers head Mike Tomlin and linebackers coach Joey Porter are on Thursday and now we can report where offensive coordinator Todd Haley is.
According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, Haley spent his Thursday watching the Notre Dame pro day and specifically quarterback DeShone Kizer.
Kizer, who threw for 5,809 yards and 47 touchdowns during the last two seasons, figures to be one of the first five quarterbacks drafted this year. In fact, Mike Mayock of the NFL Network currently has Kizer ranked as the top quarterback in this year’s draft class.
During his Thursday pro day workout, Kizer reportedly unofficially completed 48 of his 60 pass attempts, according to Eric Hansen of the South Bend Tribune. Last season, Kizer completed 58.7 percent of his pass attempts.
The Steelers could ultimately decide to draft a quarterback this year but with that said, one would think they won’t have a shot at drafting Kizer unless he were to slide way down to them in the third round.
