The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to be linked to several cornerbacks. You can add Marcus Cooper to that list. Jeremy Fowler reports the team is gathering info on him.
Cooper, a 2013 seventh round draft pick by the Kansas City Chiefs, started 13 games for the Arizona Cardinals last year. He recorded 70 tackles and picked off four passes. The Steelers are gravitating towards bigger cornerbacks on the outside and Cooper would fit that mold, standing in at a shade over 6’2 and roughly 200 pounds.
The Cardinals acquired Cooper in a trade right before 2016 started. The Steelers have also had reported interest in Logan Ryan and Brandon Flowers.
