If you have 7 minutes to spare on this Tuesday evening you can spend it watching two videos of the January arrest of Pittsburgh Steelers linebackers coach Joey Porter outside a South Side bar following the team’s Wild Card win over the Miami Dolphins.
There is no audio included in the security video below that was released Tuesday by the Pittsburgh Police Bureau on their Facebook page following Porter pleading guilty earlier in the day to a disorderly conduct citation stemming from the incident.
Porter, who was fined $300 on Tuesday, was originally charged with aggravated assault and other more serious charges for allegedly grabbing an officer’s wrists outside the bar after a bouncer denied him entrance to the establishment. The Allegheny County District Attorney eventually dropped all charges but the disorderly conduct and public drunkenness citations after reviewing the surveillance video as he didn’t believe it supported the more serious charges.
It’s still unknown at this time if Porter will ultimately face in discipline from the NFL as a result of the January incident as they are still reviewing it.
