After two weeks of agonizing coverage on the NFL Network, Super Bowl LI is almost here. I must tell you, I am pretty much Super Bowl week-ed out as of right now. With that said, I am very much looking forward to the game between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons and I think it’s easy to guess who I will be pulling for even though I predicted the opposite assholes to win.
If any of you care, I think we are finally starting to turn the corner as far as potty training goes with Finley Pearl. Wifey was out of town for several days this past week and I damn near pulled all my hair out while puppy sitting in the kitchen. Don’t get me wrong, I love her to death, but it’s hard to get writing and tape study done when I’m on puppy duty. Thankfully wifey will be around through the weekend so I can watch the Super Bowl in peace.
I found my smoker that was buried away since we moved and that means I’ll attempt to eat 50 wings on Sunday. I think it’s been nearly a year since I have smoked anything.
Ok, enough about my blahger life. As usual, sans last Friday, I have five questions for you to answer ahead of Super Bowl LI. A few pertain to the big game while a few others to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Here’s to hoping that next year at this same time we’re preparing for the Steelers to play in Super Bowl LII at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN.
Have a great Super Bowl weekend and please do not drink and drive.
1 – Assuming there were no financial savings or extra cost involved in terms of salary or the cap, would you trade Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown for Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones straight up on Monday?
2 – Now that Steelers president Art Rooney II has had his annual talk with the media and indicated the team will more than likely select a quarterback in 2017 NFL Draft, I want you to predict the round and player ultimately chosen.
3 – The latest over/under Super Bowl passing yardage totals for Tom Brady and Matt Ryan are both at 315½, according to Bovada. Predict if each player will go over or under that number on Sunday
4 – The MVP of Super Bowl LI will be _________________?
5 – Predict the final score of Super Bowl LI.
Here is current leaderboard for the Friday Night Questions. This will be the last week of scoring – can anyone supplant Phil Brenneman II? He has led the board since week 11 when he surged past the PaeperCup who was the leader from Week 4-10. Matt Manzo challenged him by tying for 1st place in weeks 12-14 but Phil has managed to lead the pack for a long time. Kevin Schwartz is just 3 points off. Got a prize for 1st place!
