The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns have both released their lists of inactive players ahead of Sunday’s game at Heinz Field and when it comes to the home team’s seven, there are no surprises based on what we were told to expect earlier in the week.
With Sunday being a meaningless game for the Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, running back Le’Veon Bell, wide receiver Antonio Brown and center Maurkice Pouncey were all made healthy scratches on Sunday by head coach Mike Tomlin. All four are being “preserved” for the playoffs.
With Roethlisberger sidelined, Landry Jones will make his fourth career start and he’ll be backed up by Zach Mettenberger. Veteran running back DeAngelo Williams is expected to start in place of Bell while B.J. Finney will start at center in place of Pouncey.
On Friday, the Steelers listed tight end Ladarius Green (concussion), safety Robert Golden (ankle) and defensive end Stephon Tuitt (knee) as out on their injury report and all three are inactive in Week 17
